The airport that is located in Aktion, Preveza (PVK) is the one that serves Lefkada and it is 18 km from the city of Lefkada. Outside of the terminal station, there are bus stop and taxi station where someone can find means of transportation for Lefkada, Preveza and Vonitsa.

BY CAR

Lefkada is the only island which you can visit by car. A floating bridge connects Lefkada with Aitoloakarnania.
– Athens to Lefkada: Elefsina Toll Station to Antirrio( 1h40m) -Antirrio to Amfilocheia (1h) -Amfilocheia to Lefkada ( 45m).
So a total of approx. 4 hours of driving time from Athens to Lefkada (depending on your starting point in Athens, of course).
– Thessaloniki-Lefkada: Egnatia Odo to Ioannina (2h15m)-Ioannina to Preveza (1h)-Preveza to Lefkada (20m).
So a total of approx. 4 hours of driving time from Thessaloniki to Lefkada.

BY CARAVAN

Those of you who choose to travel to our beautiful Lefkada with caravan should know that free camping is forbidden.

BY BUS

You can reach Lefkada by public buses (KTEL) which departure from the main big greek cities like Athens,Thessalonica,Ioannina,Patra,Igoumenitsa,Preveza etc.There are daily routes by buses connecting Athens with Lefkada and the trip lasts about 5 hours.Lefkada bus station is just 1 km from the city centre
and it is located opposite from Lefkas Marina.

Daily, from Nidri and Vasiliki,Lefkada is linked by sea
with Ithaki and Kefalonia during the summer months.
